On Wednesday, 21 January 2026, our practice hosted an evening Prostate Cancer and PSA awareness event. The session was very well attended, with 26 patients joining us to learn more about prostate health and early detection.
What We Covered
The event provided valuable information on:
Prostate health and common risk factors
Symptoms to watch for
The role of PSA testing in detecting prostate issues early
Patients were encouraged to ask questions and discuss their concerns in a supportive environment. The session highlighted the importance of understanding personal risk factors, such as age, family history, and lifestyle, and taking an active role in health decisions.
A Positive and Supportive Experience
Peter (Consultant) delivered the session in a clear and approachable way, creating a welcoming atmosphere where patients felt comfortable engaging with the topic. Informal feedback on the evening was overwhelmingly positive, with attendees describing the session as informative, reassuring, and empowering.
Looking Ahead
We plan to hold more educational events like this in the future. We encourage patients to speak with their GP and consider PSA testing if they experience any symptoms or have concerns about prostate health.
